NOTD | Essie Borrowed & Blue Nail Polish

I decided to go for a more subtle colour today, now I know to some people this polish is probably not that subtle, but compared to my last nail combination, I think it's pretty tame lol.

Ooh, isn't this colour a beaut!

It's Essie Borrowed & Blue that was released with last years wedding collection and it's a colour I've been wanting to try for ages. This colour is very unique, it's a gorgeous light baby blue with a hint of grey. I did 3 coats to get the polish this opaque but you could probably get away with 2.

Unfortunately this colour pretty much shows every imperfection, so I don't know how long it will last, but I'm happy with it for now.

I'm so glad both Boots & Superdrug now stock Essie polishes, it's going to make it so much easier to get hold of new collections, and inevitably spending more money, thus making my nail polish collection entirely out of control. Oh well, we all have our vices I think nail polish must be mine lol.

Let me know if you've picked up any Essie polishes from Boots or Superdrug yet, and feel free to leave some Essie polish suggestions, I'm always on the lookout for new colours.

XOXO Claire

  1. I bought this today actually, my local TK Maxx had loads of made up sets of Essie polishes for £9.99! Might be worth having a look :) x

  7. The color is beautiful! Sadly Essie polishes don't seem to work with my nails, they chip after just a few hours on me. :/ Do you know of any similar shades from other brands? x

    1. Aww that's a shame, have you tried using a topcoat? Models Own do a lovely selection of colours as do Orly.
