Product Review: Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover

As much as I love my nail polish I really can't stand having to take it off, especially glitter polishes, they are the bane of my life. So when I heard and read all the rumbling about the Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover, I of course had to pick it up, well that was easier said than done, I guess everyone else had the same idea. Considering how hard it was for me to track down I had pretty high expectations for this product.

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover Product Review
First off let me say I really like the packaging, it definitely catches your attention, which I guess is what they were going for. I know the whole concept of this product has been done before, but I've actually not tried anything like this so it's new to me. If you've not heard about this product before it's basically a huge sponge soaked with nail polish remover and you're supposed to twist you nails against the sponge to remove the polish.

This product supposedly says it completely removes your polish within 1 second, well I put that to the test with interesting results, take a look-see:

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover Product Review
I used my latest NOTD to test this product because it combined both normal polish and the dreaded glitter. As you can see by my pictures it didn't exactly remove my polish in 1 second, So I guess it fails on that promise, but it did remove it in 3 twists, now obviously I don't know how long that took, but it wasn't long. I was still really impressed because it's so easy to use and there was no pesky cotton wool stuck to my nails which is a normal occurrence for me. It's so much more practical than a bottle of remover and cotton wool. It also has a very nice berry scent that lingers on you nails instead of the regular remover smell, just don't stick your nose in the bottle, that still smells exactly like nail polish remover, I made that mistake lol.

Now the glitter polish did take quite a bit longer to remove, approximately about 1 minute, now I know the remover isn't being marketed as a glitter remover per-say but I'm still impressed. Normally there is always a few specks of glitter left on the nail, so I love that this product removes everything completely.

I know this products doesn't exactly do what it says on the tin, but in my book it's still a winner, it removes my polish in an easy hassle free way and in a lot less time than my usual remover and pad combo.

I'm very interested to see how long this bottle lasts me, as I will definitely be re-purchasing this product when this one come to the end of it's life.

Let me know what you think of this product, will you be replacing your cotton wool with this bad boy?

 XOXO Claire

    1. I 100% recommend it, it's such a time saver :p

  2. I keep meaning to pick this up every time Im out shopping but always forget! x

    1. I was the same lol, but its so worth it :)

  3. I like many bought into this product, got swept along with the hype and raved about it - I no longer buy it. In the end I found that it left my fingers really oily and greasy, dried out the skin around my nails and didn't last all too long either. I found if I removed glitter polish in the pot the glitter tore the sponge and left my finger adorned with lots of little pieces of sponge - not good! x

Thank you so much for stopping by, let me know your thoughts on this post by leaving a comment, they really do mean the world to me!
