Product Review: Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanning For Face

I think it's pretty obvious by now that I'm not really a tanning girl lol, I'm naturally very pale and all the experiences I've had with self tanners have never tuned out particularly well. Needless to say I was pretty orange, especially on my face. As always as soon as the sun comes out I inevitably want to try and disguise my Casper-likeness. I don't want to look like a member of the Jersey Shore, just an actual human being, not a corpse, I'm sure some of you can relate.

Lately though I've been hearing lots of buzz in the blogaspheare about the Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanning For Face it really caught my attention and I had to order it and give it a go, for all the pale girls out there!

I've been using this self tanner for around 3 weeks now and I had to let you guys know what I thought about it.

Well, it completely took me by surprise, in a good way. I use this product now about twice a week but I might up it to three soon. It's so easy to use, all you do is add about a five pence peace size amount to a cotton pad and swipe it all over your face. As always with fake tanners you have to be careful around you eye brows and hairline, but thats pretty obvious with most fake tans.

One of this products best selling points is the fact that it dries matte, so you can apply your moisturiser or makeup straight away afterwards, which I think is amazing, it really does dry ridiculously quickly. I normally use it before bed so it means I can wipe it on and not worry about it transferring onto my pillows. It goes on your skin effortlessly and it doesn't smell like ordinary self tanners, there's no biscuity scent here, it actually smells really nice, quite fresh and floral.

As for the actual finished result of this tanner it gives your skin a lovely golden glow that doesn't go patchy or streaky and it fades evenly as well. What more could you want. I would say it's geared more towards girls with a paler complexion as it probably wouldn't make much difference on medium to dark skin tones. Although it is build-able. I bought this self tanner from Escentual for around £15, which I think is a really good price, you get 125mls and as you only need a small amount it will last you quite a while.

I'm so glad I've finally found a self tanner for my face that I don't have to worry about, it's simple, easy and best of all it gives great results. I will definitely be using this over the coming months to help me achieve the ever desired golden glow.

Let me know what you think of this product, are you a fan?

XOXO Claire

  1. Hmmmm. I was looking at it for a while but I'm not sure if I would be able to use it a few times in a row to get the ''tanned'' look. I'm quite inpatient with the self-tanner although I'm a beginner haha :D
    maybe I'll try it anyway!

    1. I'm always too scared to use an actual fake tan, I always think I will turn orange , gradual tanners all the way for me, for now anyway lol

  2. I've heard so many great things about this tanner! It might have to go on my 'wishlist' :-D

    1. It definitely should it's amazing :-)
