Product Review: The Body Shop Mango Body Butter

I've never been good at moisturising my body, which is a tad strange considering how meticulous I am with my skincare routine. I suspect it has something to do with how time consuming it is, plus I hate the sticky felling you're left with and the fact that most body moisturisers take ages to sink in.

Despite how much I hate them, my skin couldn't go much longer without being regularly moisturised, my legs were starting to resemble a pair of scaly lizards, not cute. Over the last few months I've tried a few different ones, but there was 1 in particular that stood out to me.

As you can tell by the picture above, this body butter has been well loved lol. I got this moisturiser free with a magazine ages ago and it had just been sat in my draw being completely ignored. For my holiday I was looking though my stash for a moisturiser that was prefect to travel with and I came across this one, it was a match made in heaven.

Needless to say I'm in love with it, first of all it's mango scented which is one of my all-time favourite scents, but most of all it doesn't leave your skin all sticky. It's such a creamy thick, luxurious body butter that leaves your skin so silky soft and moisturised, plus it sinks in like a dream, so there's no hanging around like a scarecrow waiting for it to dry. I've been using this right before bed and it's completely changed the texture and appearance of my skin, my limbs no longer look grey and scaly.

I've not used many Body Shop products before but I'm really impressed with this body butter and I will definitely be repurchasing it, I've nearly finished my 50ml tub so I guess it will be pretty soon. The Body Shop are currently having a sale on their body butters, so I definitely recommend having a look if you're interested.

Even without the sale I would still pay full price (£12 for 200ml) It's so worth it, it's a lovely fruity treat for the skin.

Let me know some of your favourite body moisturisers, are you a fan of the body butters, what's your favourite scent?

 XOXO Claire
