Autumn/Winter 2012 Beauty Edit

As winter is on it's way, personally I think it's already here, I'm freezing. I thought I would show you a few of my favourite products that I love using during this time of the year, they really warm the cockles of my heart.

Favourite Autumn/Winter Beauty Products 2012
Mac Star Violet Eyeshadow
         Philosophy Cinnamon Buns Shower Gel:
This shower gel is the epitome of Christmas to me, it smells amazing, like a little bottle of warm cinnamon heaven. I was so excited to pull this out of hibernation, you know how some people have a summer scent, well this is my autumn/winter scent, even though it's not technically a perfume lol. This shower gel is actually a 3 in 1 product, it can also be used as a shampoo or bubble bath, personally I only use it as a shower gel though. Philosophy products aren't cheap, but they are lovely and luxurious and would make amazing Christmas presents.

Chanel Rouge Allure in 074 Dragon:
This lip product is a little extravagant for me, I would never spend this much on a lipstick/lipgloss, luckily it was a Christmas present last year. It's quite an unusual product as it has the pigmentation of a lipstick with the smoothness and shine of a
lipgloss, plus it's not sticky either. Unfortunately this shade is now discontinued, which is such a shame, as it's a beautiful colour (see swatch below).

Mac Star Violet Eyeshadow:
This eyeshadow is fastly becoming a firm favourite of mine, it's the perfect autumnal shade that works on all eye colours. I'm always a bit wary of berry colours near my eyes, because I have brown eyes those colours tend make me look like I have pink eye, but this one has enough golden brown in it, that makes it flattering.

Mac Rebel Lipstick :
This gorgeous lipstick is the newest addition to my collection and I can't believe I've not picked it up sooner. It's definitely the darkest lipstick I own, but it's such lovely rich burgundy that not only is perfect for this time of year, it also doesn't make your teeth look yellow. It's a satin finish, so it' s very pigmented but it doesn't dry out your lips, it has pretty good staying power too, which is a must have for me, very rarely do I re-apply my lip products.

Miss Dior Cherie Perfume :
This is one of my favorite perfumes for this time of the year, it's more of a heavy scent that's both fruity and floral, with a bit of citrus thrown in for good measure. It's definitely one for the girly girls out there, plus look at that bottle, it's gorgeous, though quite weighty. I really recommend this scent if you're looking for a perfume that lasts a long time, I can always smell this hours after I've applied it.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant :
Dry skin is a given in winter, but thanks to this little baby it makes my winter a bit easier. You can put this cream pretty much everywhere, though I mainly use it on my lips at night, it really helps combat dry, chapped lips and keeps them hydrated. This cream does have quite a strong scent, which I think you either love or hate, it's like marmite. I think they my have made an alternative though that's unscented, so if you are a bit put off by the scent, you could now try it.

Revlon Lip Butter in Candy Apple :
This is probably my favorite colour out of all the lip butters, it's so gorgeously pigmented it could pass for a lipstick in my opinion. One thing that I really love about these lip butters is they are literally so moisturizing, which is something I definitely need during this time of year. I urge you all to go swatch it, it's lovely.
