I have literally been trying to get my hands on Essie's new winter collection for weeks, but my local Boots haven't got them in yet. Luckily when I was in Newcastle at the weekend they had 3 colours, I was a bit disappointed they didn't have them all, but I snatched up what they did have and ran to the till.
I'm sure at some point I'll pick up the other 3 colours, but for now, here are the 3 I managed to get my manicured fingers on.
Butler Please / Where's My Chauffeur? / Snap Happy.

The picture above shows what they look like with 3 coats, but in actual fact two of them, Butler Please and Snap Happy were pretty much opaque in 1 coat. Where's My Chauffeur needed 2 but as always I did 3. I just think 3 coats evens out the overall colour and disguises any imperfections.
Butler Please was at the top of my list and it definitely lived up to my expectations, it's a lovely true blue that I can't wait to do a NOTD with, it is one of my favourite colours, especially for nails.
Where's My Chauffeur? is quite similar to Turquoise & Caicos, I will probably do a comparison post nearer the spring time.
Snap Happy is a nice orange toned red, not a very adventurous colour, but it is a colour that I think everyone needs in their collection.
One thing I will say of this collection as a whole, is that it's not very wintery. There are two polishes (neither of which I managed to find) in the collection that scream Christmas/winter but the rest, are well, a bit odd. Don't get me wrong they are definitely gorgeous colours that are absolutely up my street, I just would have thought they were more summer colours, that's just me though lol.
Let me know what you think of this collection, will you be picking up any colours in particular?
XOXO Claire
I only picked up the two Christmassy ones - beyond cozy and leading lady - as the other colours seemed more summery to me! xx
ReplyDeleteOooh maybe that why these were the only ones left, hopefully I'll be able to pick them up in time for Christmas :-)
