Product Review: Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm

At the end of summer I thought I had found my all-time favourite lip treatment, it worked amazingly well and I thought I was set, I thought I never needed to look at another one again. As the weather turned colder and we moved into Winter it just didn't cut the mustard, my lips just got drier and drier. So much so that I was unable to wear any lip products of any kind until about 2 weeks ago. I don't want to be overly dramatic and say a lip product has changed my life, but from a lipstick/lipstain prospective, I think it just might have.

Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm £9.50

I'd heard all the hype surrounding this product and I'm going to be honest, it was the price at first that really put me off. £10 for a lip balm? no way. As Christmas got closer however, I was getting really desperate, I had so many lipsticks that I was dying to use, I snapped and ordered it. Thank goodness, my lips are now so smooth and hydrated, I can now wear dark lipsticks to my hearts content, you may have notices if you've seen my last few posts.

One thing I did notice though is that it took about a week for my lips to fully recover, through daily use. It was like it was repairing the skin, as opposed to just coating them, which is what all the other lip balms used to do I guess. It also has a matte consistency, which feels a little odd at first but I actually prefer it to glossy lip balms.

Not only does this product actually work, it smells really nice too, like chocolate oranges, not the synthetic stuff either, the real thing. Needless to say when this jar runs out I will 100% be re-purchasing this little beauty. It's worth every penny. If you have similar issues with your lips I definitely recommend this lip balm, it's worked wonders for me. It's true what they say, the French really do know their skincare.

Have you tried anything from Nuxe? leave any recommendations in the comments because I'm very interested in trying more things from this brand.

XOXO Claire
