January 2013 Beauty Favourites

Rimmel Matte Lipstick in number 107
During January I tried quite a few new products, mainly thanks to numerous Christmas presents, so picking my favourites was relatively easy.

YSL Rouge Pur Glossy Stain in number 10:
I'm not going to say too much about this product because I'm actually doing a whole post dedicated it, but I will say if you're after a lip product that lasts all day, even through eating and drinking, this one is for you. It's gorgeous.

L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil:
I received a small sample of this shower oil in a gift set for Christmas and as you can see by the humongous bottle in the picture, lol, I absolutely loved it and picked up another set that had the full size bottle in it. I've never used a shower oil before, but this one leaves your skin so moisturised. It turns into a gorgeous, creamy milk when in contact with water and feels so luxurious, plus it smells delicious. I definitely recommend this oil if you're after a treat for the shower.

Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm:
I'm sure this little beauty will be no surprise if you've been reading my blog for the last few months. It's completely changed the condition of my lips. I know for some people it's a love/hate product, but I couldn't be without mine.

OPI Nail Envy:
Another standout Christmas present. My Essie basecoat has been well and truly replaced. This is amazing. I know it's meant to be used as more of a treatment, but I like to apply it before my nail polish and I swear it makes my polish last longer and reduces chipping. It's definitely worth the money in my opinion and I actually saw that ASOS have an offer on at the moment where you can get this one and the matte one for £18, such a bargain.

Bumble & Bumble Creme De Coco Conditioner:
This conditioner has been my go-to conditioner all month, It leaves my hair lovely and soft and smells amazing too, like coconut, which coincidentally is one of my all-time favourite scents. So far I've not found any Bumble & Bumble product I don't like, great for my hair not so much for my wallet lol.

Rimmel Matte Lipstick in number 107:
This has been one of my favourite lipsticks for not only January but for December too. It's an amazing lipstick that stays on for hours and despite the fact that it's matte,  doesn't dry out your lips out in the slightest. The colour is gorgeous and I honestly can't say enough good thing about it.

Lush Big Shampoo:
Again this is another Christmas present. It's a very unique shampoo, that is actually made of salt. It feels a little odd to begin with but it really clarifies your hair without making it feel dry and creates lots of volume. You barely need to use any, so this tub will last me a very long time.

I apologize for the picture quality, I know it's not great, it was nighttime and I really wanted to crack on with a few more blog posts. Hopefully some better weather will come soon so I can use natural sunlight.

Let me know a few of your favourites this month?

XOXO Claire

  1. I have to try the Nuxe lipbalm...everyone seems to love this! My favourite lip product of January was the Lush Lip Scrub...it's amazing...it leaves your lips feeling so soft! :)

    1. Oooh I love my lip scrub too, the combination of the two is amazing, plus it's a perfect base for lipstick :)

  2. OPI's Nail Envy is an amazing product! I like you, use it as my base coat (may as well get some strengthening in there while there's colour on) and I find my nail polish lasting longer too! No serious nail polish wearing girl should be without it!

Really keen to try the shower oil - it looks lush!

  3. I can't wait to try the glossy stains. On the birthday list

  4. Lovely favs Claire! I still want to try out a YSL Glossy Stain so much xx

Evelyn @ We Were Raised By Wolves

    1. Awwww thank you Evelyn, it was so easy to pick this month especially the glossy stains they are expensive but 100% worth it :)

  5. I can't seem to get along with my nuxe lipbalm! but i am loving the widely hyped la roche posay effaclar duo!

    1. Awww that's a shame, I guess everyone is different, I think I have a sample of the Effaclar Duo somewhere, must try and find it :)
