Mini Mac Haul

It's been a while since I indulged in any Mac collections, mainly because everything is always sold out, but this time I was on the ball and picked up the thing I'd had my eye on. The Mac Archie's Girls Pearlmatte Face Powder in Flatter Me.

As soon as I got wind of this collection I knew I had to have this blush. Look how cute the design is, it's very similar to the Physicians Formula Happy Booster blushes, which I've yet to try, but I really want to, maybe when I go to the USA in April.

The main colour is a very soft pearly peach, with 3 gorgeous pinky peach hearts. I would say the base colour is more of a highlight and might not work for some skin tones, but for pale girls like myself it gives a very nice wash of colour. The hearts are a more pigmented peachy pink blush, and when both of them are combined, the result is a very pretty blush with a beautiful sheen.

Here's a swatch:

One thing I really like is there's a mirror inside the compact, which makes using it on the go, so much easier. I'm not completely sold on the outside packaging, it's a bit tacky, but what's inside definitely makes up for it. It's not the cheapest blush/highlight duo on the market, but you can't deny it's a beaut.

Even Daisy's a fan of this blush, haha.

I will definitely be using it in a FOTD soon, so you can see what it looks like on the skin. Do you have your eye on anything from this collection?

XOXO Claire

  1. Oh, I'm so in love with this collection. Sadly, in Germany it's not released until March... :( I'll take a look at the lipsticks and the blush in "Prom Princess", but your powder looks amazing too! :)

    1. I think I prefer the regular black packaging more, it will probably get dirty pretty quickly, unfortunately :-)
