NOTD | Essie Bahama Mama Nail Polish

Can someone please explain to me what's going on with the weather? In the space of 5 minutes we've had 2 snowstorms and then sunshine? I thought it was March, where's the nice spring weather? I'm sat here waiting to adorn my nails with pretty pastels and I've had to revert back to my dark winter colours, crazy.

Anywho despite my dismay about the weather, I did pick a beautiful colour for today's NOTD.

This polish is a gorgeous deep burgundy colour which was pretty much opaque in 2 coats, though as always, I do 3 just to be sure. I then followed with my trusty Seche Vite which I can't live without. The application of this polish was faultless. I really do recommend the diffusion line from Boots and Superdrug, the wider brush makes the application so much neater and quicker. Perfect for those of us who (ahem) have a bit of trouble staying in the lines lol.

Essie have definitely become one of my favourite nail polish brands, they have a stunning colour selection and the majority of the polishes that I've tried from them have been amazing.

Hopefully my next nail polish post will be a bit more spring appropriate, fingers crossed.

Are you an Essie fan? Have you cracked out the pastels yet or are you waiting for the nicer weather like I am.

XOXO Claire

  5. I love this colour, I wore it a lot over the festive period with a glitter Models Own as a top coat (I did a post on it over on my blog), but I am so over the plums and deep reds now, I want nudes and neutrals and pastels to be adorning my fingertips. Essie is my all time favourite polish and over the weekend I just said hell to the weather and painted my nails in Fiji which is a very pale marshmallow pink!
