How To: Pastel Animal Print Nail Art

I've been dyeing to get my hands on the new Models Own Fruit Pastel Collection, not necessarily for the scent (which I do think is a bit odd, not gonna lie) but for the gorgeous array of colours, they were calling my name. They just had to be mine!

I just had to use this set straight away and decided to try my hand at a bit of nail art (again). If you're a frequent reader I'm sure you know nail art is definitely not my forte, but it's all about having fun and giving things ago, am I right? Well that's exactly what I did. It didn't hurt that I blasted out a bit of T.Swift while I did it either.

First of all I painted each nail a different colour:
Models Own Fruit Pastel Collection Nail Polish Swatches
I will say that the formulation of these polishes is quite thick and a few of them were a bit difficult to work with (here's looking at you banana split) but I don't mind spending a bit of extra time concentrating on application if the overall look of the polish is good, which for me they are.

Next I added a few polka dots:
Pastel Polka Dot Nail Art
I know my polka dot application isn't the best, I'm trying haha. I think my favourite colour combination would have to be the yellow and purple, what's yours? if any.

The finished result:

Models Own Black Nail Art Pen £6.00

I used my all time favourite nail art pen, I really can't fault this one, it's cheap and I've had it for over a year and it's still going strong. As long as you remember to put the lid on properly, (yes I am guilty of that, but aren't we all, no, just me? ok)

I know most leopards aren't pastel coloured, but... I like the look, what do you think haha?

XOXO Claire
