My Top 7 Mint Nail Polishes Edit

Mint nail polishes are one spring/summer trend that I think will never go out of of style. Every season most nail polish brands come out with a whole collection of new colours and you bet your bottom dollar there will be a mint colour nestled among them.

So I decided to put together a few of my personal favourites, to maybe give you some ideas if you're in the market for a new mint coloured polish, or if you like me feel you need to own every shade possible haha.

Mint Nail Polishes
My Top Mint Nail Polishes
| Essie Mint Candy Apple | Essie Absolutely Shore | China Glaze Refresh Mint | OPI Gargantuan Green Grape |

These are probably the most famous mint polishes out of the bunch, though mint candy apple is showing up a tad more blue than it is in real life (it's a pain in the bum to photograph arrggg). Despite that, if you're after the Ferrari of all mint polishes, this is your girl.

Here they are swatched:

As with most light polishes they do require a few coats to get to the full opacity, but to me it's completely worth it, just look at those stunning colours. I would say absolutely shore is the sheerest, but if you build it up it's fine.

My Top Mint Nail Polishes
| China Glaze Keep Calm, Paint On | Barry M Mint Green | Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet |

If you're after a pop of mint but don't want to spend too much, one of these beauty's are for you. As always you really can't go wrong with Barry M, cheap, cheerful, gorgeous. If you're after something with a bit of shimmer, Keep Calm, Paint On will definitely be up your alley, because guess what? it actually translates to your nails, jackpot.

What is it with blue/green polishes, why are they so difficult to photograph? Mint green is again showing up a bit more blue than it actually is. Story of my life!

What are your favourite mint polishes?

    1. That's odd, I don't think mine does that, though I do use the Seche Vite topcoat which keeps the polish looking fresh and glossy :-)

  3. Mint is fast becoming one of my favourite colours! I have Barry M's mint green but I find it doesn't apply very well on my nails :( I must have had a bad one.
