As I mentioned in one of my latest posts, I've been trying to get to grips with a more sheer base. A year ago light coverage foundations and tinted moisturisers were a no-go for my oily skin, but fast forward a year and I'm in love! My skin had changed and become more combination, so as long as I still remember to powder my t-zone, they work really well.
I decided to give my new light base a trial run along with my new Estee Lauder Bronze Sands Eyeshadow Palette and this is the look I came up with.
Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer (Under Eyes)
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (Blemishes)
Laura Mercier Foundation Powder (T-Zone)
Stila Convertible Colour in Gladiola
Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base
Estee Lauder Bronze Sands Palette
(Gold all over my lid & inner corners)
(Turquoise along my bottom lash line)
Maybelline Mega Plush Volume Mascara
First of all, the pictures above were taken about 5 hours after I'd applied everything, so I could truly test out the foundation, and I think it performed really well. It is a tad patchy in places but for someone who used to run in the opposite direction from sheer products, I'm impressed. I'm also a little bit of a foundation snob, so the fact that it's Revlon, says a lot.
I'm in love with this eyeshadow palette, the colours are absolutely gorgeous, if a little crumbly, but I can get over that. I'm definitely partial to a bit of turquoise shadow.
Let me know what you think, have you tried the Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation yet, thoughts?
