Essie really are on the ball with their collections, it seems like they bring out a new one every couple of weeks. Which is fabulous for me, not necessarily for my bank balance haha. One of the new additions to my nail polish wardrobe is from the Essie Resort 2013 Collection, Essie In The Cab-Ana and it's a beaut.
I tried so hard to get this gorgeous colour to show up true to life, but in reality it's a bit more on the green side, like a pure turquoise. If anyone has any tips for photographing nail polish let me know because it's really getting my goat.
Anywho, moving on. This colour was really easy too apply and completely opaque in 2 coats. The one downside though, is that I've only had it on for 48 hours and there are already a couple of chips, which is a bit disappointing. Essie polishes normally last really well on my nails with a topcoat, so this one has let me down a little bit. I don't think this polish is a true representation of Essie polishes as a whole though, I have quite a few in my collection that have lasted over a week.
So if you're looking for a nail polish that lasts a week, this one is definitely not for you. For me personally though, it's not too much of an issue, I change my nail polish pretty regularly anyway. This little blip hasn't put me off Essie polishes, I still love them.
Are you a Essie fan? Do you find nail polishes hard to photograph? say I'm not alone.
