Beauty Edit: Why I Love "Essie" Nail Polishes?

Essie nail polishes really are where it's at right now, they just hit the nail (haha, get it) on the head every season. It seems like there's a mad frenzy with every new collection. I'm not going to lie, as soon as I get wind of a new shade range I'm straight online, looking at swatches and playing the imaginary basket game. Come on, I'm sure you've all played it, you add multiple items to your shopping basket but don't actually click checkout? thought so haha. I do probably press checkout more than I should, especially with nail polish.

Thank goodness they don't come out with a new collection every week, I would definitely be bankrupt!

As you can see from the above pictures I'm a huge fan of bright colours, especially the lime green colour from their new summer collection, so pretty, I can't wait to pop it on my nails.

If you're new to Essie or are a bit unsure about their polishes, I definitely recommend the diffusion line that's sold in Boots or Superdrug. The wide brushes are really easy to use, though I personally don't really have a problem with the normal ones, but I know thinner brushes can be a problem for some people. I find the Essie formula really hard wearing when combined with a good basecoat and topcoat, I really recommend OPI Nail Envy and Seche Vite, they really do make a difference to the longevity of any nail polish, not just Essie.

Here are a few of my personal favourite polishes, with links to the corresponding nail post if you want to check out the colour:

Essie | In The Cab-Ana
Essie | Cute As A Button
 Essie | Bikini So Teeny
 Essie | Licorice
   Essie | Borrowed & Blue
  Essie | Van D' Go
Essie | Lilacism

Let me know if you're an Essie fanatic like me?, If so, what's your favourite colour? I'm always looking for new recommendations to help feed my addiction haha.

If you're not an Essie fan, What is your favourite nail polish brand?

XOXO Claire

  2. I really love Essie too but people tell me all the time how they hate them or how overpriced they are- funny how that works, I think they're a great price for what I'm getting! Great pictures by the way!

    1. Thank you, I normally only tend to order them when they are on offer but I think they price isn't that bad, lots of other drugstore polishes are over £5 so I don't mind spending a bit more for a gorgeous colour :)
