How To: Holiday/Beach Themed Nail Art

"Let's Go To The Beach, Each"
What with all the lovely weather we've been having, it's really got my creative juices flowing and as soon as I get an idea, I just have to go for it. This NOTD lets you visit the beach without having to mess about applying suncream and you don't have to worry about sand getting into all your crevices. Sounds good, right?

Barry M Hi Shine Gel Nail Polish in Lychee
Here's how did it, including the polishes I used:

1| First I applied 2 coats of Barry M Hi Shine Gel Nail Polish in Lychee as my base, the sand. Which I have to say, I'm very impressed with, it was opaque in two coats and so glossy.

2| Next I used a make up sponge to apply a white polish, I used Sinful Colours Snow Me White to achieve waves. You don't necessarily have to use a sponge, I just like the effect it gives.

3| I used the same sponging technique to apply OPI What's With The Cattitude for the sea.

4| Lastly I used a thin nail art brush, but you could use an orange stick or the end of some tweezers to add a bit of sea-life The bright orange I used was China Glaze Sun Worshiper. Yes I am aware my starfish looks more like a flower, but what can you do, I don't have the best drawing skills haha.

Let me know what you think of this nail art look, should I do some more?

XOXO Claire
