Product Review: L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil

Up until 6 months ago I had never thought of spending a lot of money on a shower gel. £5 was my maximum spend, luxury never came into it. Getting clean was a necessity. Anywho that being said, after hearing so many bloggers rave about how amazing the L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil was, my interest was sparked and I treated myself in the Christmas sale. Well ladies, we've been having quite the romance over the last few months and I thought I would tell you about it.

L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil
The first thing you will notice is that this product is actually an oil not a gel, which sounds a bit odd but it's actually amazing! Basically when this oil comes in contact with water it turns into a really creamy milk, that lathers exceptionally well and leaves your skin gorgeously soft. Plus a little really does a go a long way.

Here's what it looks like on the skin.
L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil
This shower oil is without doubt the most moisturising shower product I have ever used. I do suffer with pretty dry skin on my body, especially my arms and I normally find with shower gels that they tend to dry out my skin, but I've seen a huge improvement in the overall condition of my skin since I started using this oil. You can feel the difference after one use. Your skin fells so incredibly soft you barely need to moisturise afterwards, which for me (I am a tad lazy in that department) is fabulous.

I also like to use this oil to shave my legs, they can get ridiculously dry and this oil really does help to reduce the tight feeling afterwards, your razor just glides down effortlessly.

I should probably mention the scent but it's just so amazing that I feel I would be doing it a disservice buy not describing it correctly. As you would guess buy the name, it's almond scented but trust me, this is a scent you will want to sniff for yourself. I definitely recommend stopping by a L'Occitane store or counter, you can thank me later haha.

Have you tried this shower oil, what do you think? What other L'Occitane products do you recommend I try?

XOXO Claire
