My Favourite Lip Products For Autumn 2013

As soon as the 1st of October arrived I began scrambling around collecting together all my favourite autumnal beauty products. With Lip products being my ultimate love, I thought I would show you a few that I will definitely be plastering on during the next few months.
 First the reds |
Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in Apocaliptic |
If you're not a fan of matte lipsticks, but still want good pigmentation with a sheen, this line is for you. Apocaliptic is the perfect in between shade if bright red or burgundy are a little out of your comfort zone.

Mac Lady Danger Lipstick |
This little beauty is the newest edition to my collection as I was seriously missing a matte red lipstick. I used to run in the opposite direction from matte shades due to how drying they can be, but paired with a good lip balm, I recommend the Nuxe Reve De Miel you don't have to worry.

Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Rivera |
If you want to go all out this season a bright orange based red is definitely the "it" colour. This Hourglass Liquid Lipstick may be tiny but it really packs a punch and you barely need any product to achieve a lovely opaque finish.
Darks |
Mac Rebel Lipstick |
Rebel is one of my all time favourite Mac lipsticks. In the bullet it can look a little intimidating- but trust me, it swatches the most gorgeous berry wine colour! I've been wearing it constantly, even during the day. You can wear it just as a light wash or layer it up for full impact.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm in Crush |
If sheer colours are more your thing, this colour would definitely be up your street, it's got the colour payoff with a glossy finish. Again you can build it up, but I choose this product when I just want a wash of colour. It's the prefect fuss free lip colour that you don't need a lip brush to apply, you can even pop it on without a mirror, slap bang dash!

Rimmel Kate Matte Lipstick in 107 |
This lipstick is the drugstore/low end version of Mac Rebel, though just a tad more red toned. As cheaper lipsticks go I'm not normally a fan, I just tend to gravitate more towards Mac, call me a lip product snob if you will, but I just prefer their formula. That being said, this particular lipstick has a lovely texture, fab colour payoff and is overall a fantastic product, bravo Rimmel, you may have just converted me.

Dark lips are definitely my favourite Autumn trend, I've never really been a fan of nude lips, it's colour all the way for me!

What's your favourite Autumn/Fall lip product? Are you a red lip or a berry girl?

Stay tuned for part 2 "The Eyes" coming soon!

XOXO Claire

  2. These are all such great picks! I'm definitely a berry girl in the Fall/Winter though I like the brighter colours you've shown too... I typically wear those in the warmer months but maybe I'll give them a go now too.
