Autumn/Fall 2013 Eyeshadow Edit

Back in the beginning of my blogger days, eyeshadow was definitely where it was at for me, I may have overdosed on Mac eyeshadows then, thanks YouTube. As time's gone on though I may have moved to newer pastures, think nail polish, lipstick, you know where I'm going with this. Anywho, now I tend to keep my eyeshadow pretty neutral, though in Autumn I do like like to change it up a little.

Here are a few of my favourite seasonal shades.

Mac Amber Lights Eyeshadow
Mac Star Violet Eyeshadow
Stila In The Know Palette |
This palette is the perfect eye accompaniment this autumn, it has the most amazing selection of colours to create the prettiest smokey or neutral eye. I will be doing a separate post showing this palette in more detail soon, so look out for that!

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils in Rust & Iced Mocha |
Aside from the very much talked about "milk" shade, these are the two jumbo eye pencils I use the most over the Autumn/Winter season, though I do have to pair them with a good eye primer, they are a cream product and do tend to crease, especially on me, damn oily eyelids!

Mac Star Violet Eyeshadow |
If warm toned eyeshadows are more your speed this shade is a must! Blended softly in the crease it really adds a little extra something to a bog standard neutral eye look. I have a little trouble wearing this shade all over the lid myself, just because it can sometimes make me a little sick looking, so I stick to using it for definition. I think it would really make girls with blue or green eyes pop!

Illamasqua Pure Pigment in Ore |
This gorgeous pigment has been in my collection for a while, but it was brought back to my attention again by Anna, who I adore. So I pulled it out for a revisit. It's a beautiful bronze pigment with gold glitter, now it does create a bit of fallout, so it might just be a nighttime affair, but it is stunning!

Mac Amber Lights Eyeshadow |
This eyeshadow is definitely out of my comfort zone, but it's such a pretty colour I couldn't not include it. I think it would look beautiful on blue eyed girlies. I have brown eyes myself, so I have to use the right combination of colours for it to work for me, but it is stunning!

L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Sahara Treasure |
I can not express how amazing this eyeshadow is, buttery soft, gorgeously pigmented, L'Oreal definitely hit the jackpot here! Blended all over the lid, with a dark brown in the crease is one of my favourite ways to wear it, definitely a must have!

  1. Oooh you're the same as me, I love a rich, dark palette for Autumn :) I have to get that Stila palette-such pretty shades for day and night but I must say it's the Illamasqua that's catching my eye-I can't resist a bit of glitter!
