Beauty Edit: Shopping My Stash #2

Even though I may have done a few sneaky beauty orders over the last few weeks (naughty naughty) it doesn't mean I've been neglecting my "stash". As I recently reorganized my make up collection, I came across a few beauty products I had completely forgotten about and swiftly pulled them out to reestablish our relationship.

Beauty Edit: Shopping My Stash #2
Philosophy The Present Clear Make Up Primer.
For primer I normally tend to stick to my Laura Mercier Radiance, but when I found this Philosophy one hidden in a draw, blogger guilt set in and I immediately set it aside to use the next day. It kept my make up in place all day, I think the reason I always ignored it was that you have to let it sit for 2 minutes before applying foundation, I'm very impatient, I'll try to work on that haha.

Jemma Kidd Light As Air Liquid Foundation.
I'm still in mourning over there being no more Light As Air foundation, because of that I put mine away at the back of my draw, but then I thought what happens if it were to go bad then I would feel terrible and it would be such a waste. So I'm going to use up and enjoy the time we have left together.

Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer.
Amazing Cosmetics aren't available in the UK, I bought this concealer last year. I used it a few times and that was it. Last week I pulled it back out of pure guilt, this tiny thing cost $28, what was I thinking? Anywho it's actually a quite nice under eye concealer, very brightening.

Origins Brighter By Nature Tone Correcting Moisturiser.
Lastly when I want a nice moisturiser with SPF that makes a good make up base I pull this out. I'm always chopping and changing my moisturisers so there are always ones I forget, but this one is lovely, the scent's a bit iffy but not offensive.

Rediscovering old favourites is almost as good as buying new products, almost! Though if you're a bit short this month it's a good alternative to shopping, that doesn't cost you a penny.

XOXO Claire

  1. I have always wanted to find a good primer but i am too inpatient to wait two minutes before doing my make up!

  2. I'm gutted I never got to try Light as Air! They went into administration just as I started wanting to get it.
Can't go far wrong with Origins, haven't tried this particular one but could do with something to correct my skin tone after a bout of breakouts that have finally gone!
