Deborah Lippmann Happy Birthday Nail Polish Dupe

Never did I think I would develop such an obsession with glitter nail polishes, over the years I've amassed quite the collection, but there was one polish in particular that started it all off, Deborah Lippmann Happy Birthday. It definitely doesn't come cheap (£18 ouch!) but it is pretty spectacular to look at and has adorned my accent nail many times over.

Now I know not everyone wants to spend a small fortune on a glitter polish, you're all a little more sensible than I am haha, but I may have found an alternative that's more budget friendly.

Enter Milani Jewel FX, as you can see from them side by side, the similarity's are uncanny even down to the size and shape of the glitter. The one slight difference is that the Milani polish contains more purple glitter than the Deborah Lippmann, but I find that just makes the Milani one more opaque.

I also find that the Milani brush is easier to use, the Deborah Lippmann brush is a little stiff. Now I know Milani products are pretty hard to come by in the UK, but I actually found this nail polish on Amazon. If you're in USA, you lucky things can pick it up in Wallgreens or CVS. Very jealous!

Here they are swatched:

Have you found any good glitter dupes? Do tell...

  3. Wow, that is one very convincing dupe! If you really wanted a glitter similar to the Deborah Lippmann but without the price, the Milani defnitely seems the way to go! I've always wanted a Deborah Lippmann polish but I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much on one polish :p
