Seasonal Beauty Shakeup 2013

One of my favourite things to do is rifle through my beauty drawers looking for potential new additions to my "seasonal beauty wardrobe". I actually came across a few products I've never used, I know isn't that shameful. It was good timing though as all of these products will be perfect for the upcoming holiday season.

NYX Blush in Mauve
OPI Warm & Fozzie

Lets start with blush, the NYX blush in Mauve is a relatively new purchase but still one I've not had time to play with yet. It's a lovely neutral toned peachy brown. It has a matte finish, but does a have a bit of a sheen as you can see in my swatch (see below). I picked this blush up because it would work well with a multitude of looks.

The second blush out of the bunch is actually a trio. This gorgeous offering from Sleek is perfect for this time of year. Lace contains one shimmery & two matte shades of highly pigmented blushes. In the pan they look quite scary and intimidating but as you can see below they are actually a lot more wearable than they first appear, plus at just over £3 a blush they are an amazing bargain.

In the autumn/winter I tend to accentuate my lips so I like a nice selection of deep lipsticks/lipglosses to choose from, these two are definite favourites at the moment. The Chantecaille Luminous Gloss in Fig is a new addition that I got in a Space NK goodie bag a few months back and I've been saving it as it's the perfect "Autumn" colour. Revlon Crush is an old favourite that I've brought back out to play, it's good if you just want a wash of colour without the maintenance.

Lastly I couldn't do a seasonal themed post without including nail polish and in my opinion OPI do the best autumn/winter collections. These two polishes, Every Month Is Oktoberfest and Warm & Fozzie are both absolutely stunning! Look out for a few NOTDs coming your way to showcase both of these beautiful colours.

Let me know what products are in your autumn/winter makeup bag, do you keep the same look or do you like changing it up?

  1. I've definitely been switching to deeper tones for the cold weather as well! Those lip products look amazing! With all of these great posts on cold weather makeup, my wallet is going to need some serious help this month.

  2. That lace palette is gorgeous, I don't know if it would ever suit me but I'd buy just to have it on display somewhere!

    1. You can order it on a few websites but it's just not the same as looking at everything in person :)
