January 2014 Beauty Favourites

I'm so glad January is over, it was definitely a trying month for me which I won't go into, but lets just say I'm so happy February is here. These are the products that have been high on my radar over the last few months, so lets get started.

Clinique Take The Day Off Balm Product Review
YSL Youth Liberator Foundation
This foundation has definitely been a favourite of mine over the last few months. I picked it up a few weeks before Christmas, you know as a present to myself haha and it completely deserves the hype. It's a medium coverage foundation that leaves a lovely glow to the skin. I also love that it has a pump, it makes application so much easier.

Oribe Dry Texturising Spray
I recently chopped a few inches off my hair, it was way over due, and this spray has been my right hand man for achieving volume, it's expensive but honestly, few others compare. My bank account will just have to accept that we are supposed to be together.

L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara*
I was sent this mascara at the beginning of the month and it's the only one I've used since. I am quite picky with my mascaras, they have to tick quite a few boxes for me to be impressed, and this one definitely does. It gives my lashes a huge amount of volume and best of all there's minimal smudging, it's a hit with me.

Maybelline Brow Drama
Defined brows aren't normally my "thing", but it's one of my new years resolutions to finally get them sorted out once and for all. This product really helps keep them in place while adding just a smidgen of colour. To me this is a little less intimidating than brow pencils or powder, baby steps haha.

Barry M Gel Nail Paint in Blackberry
This nail polish really impressed me this month, opaque in one coat, lasted 5 days, cheap, what more could you ask for.

Clinique Take The Day Off Balm
As much as I love my Bioderma, I still fancied trying another balm cleanser. I've tried a sample of the EM one before and found it way too greasy for my combination skin. For me this Clinique one is exactly what I was looking for, it removes every trace of make up without leaving any leftover residue on my skin, it also doesn't leave my skin tight or dry, it's so lovely. Now I look forward to taking off my face haha.

What have you been loving this month? I'm always looking out for new recommendations. I also wonder how long it will take me to relent and order the UD Naked 3 palette, I'm sure it will become mine in February, dare to take bets?

    1. Aww thank you, it is ridiculously expensive, though apparently one from Charles Worthington is supposed to be a good dupe :)
