First Impressions: Urban Decay Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette

I knew it wouldn't be long before I succumbed to the "Naked 3" hype. When it was first released I tried to convince myself that I didn't need it, but the more I looked at swatches I knew it was inevitable. I'm actually quite proud I lasted 6-7 weeks, in my mind that's an achievement haha.

Anywho, I'm sure you've all seen a tonne of pictures and swatches, but I had to document this moment anyway, so here she is in her full glory.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
As you can probably tell from just looking at the eyeshadows in the pan, they lean more towards a rose-gold/pink hue, compared to the warm tones in the Naked 1 and cool tones in the Naked 2. This particular palette contains 3 matte shades, 2 that could be loosely called glitters, but not really, and the rest are gorgeous, metallic shimmers. As always with Urban Decay eyeshadows, the pigmentation is exceptional, buttery soft to the touch and they blend seamlessly. The 2 "glitters" do have some fallout but I find that spraying a bit of Fix + or water on your brush before use helps, plus it really intensifies the overall colour.

Swatches:

The stand out colours for me are definitely, Nooner, Liar, Mugshot and Strange. I used to think pink toned shades didn't suit my complexion, but now changed my opinion, thank you Urban Decay haha.

Do I think this palette is an necessity? No, especially if you already own 1 & 2, but if like me you love make up, you will probably want this baby in your collection.

Have you picked up the Naked 3 Palette yet? Which is your favourite palette, 1, 2 or 3?

XOXO Claire

  3. As soon as this was released and I saw everyones pictures I knew I wouldn't be able to resist it for too long, I gave in a couple of weeks ago and love it. It's my first Naked palette and was nice to branch out from my usual MAC.
