Current Mac Eyeshadow Rotation

When I'm looking for an easy neutral eye, I normally look in one of two places, either my Naked 1 palette or my current mac quad. The latter of which I thought I would show you today, as it's the one I seem to reach for the most, at least at this moment in time, oh blogger problems haha.

This 4 Pan Quad that I put together has four easy to wear shades that can be mixed and matched or worn alone. The look that I normally go for is so quick and easy, it literally takes less than five minutes. I start with my Mac 239 Brush and apply Nylon all over my lid, but concentrate the majority of the colour on the inner corner to really brighten up that area. I next use a Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush and pop Satin Taupe in the outer half of my lid and crease and blend, this is definitely one step I need to improve on, I'm learning slowly but surely. What I love about Mac eyeshadows is that you can add just a wash of colour for a soft daytime look, or you can really up the ante by layering it for nighttime.

To add a bit more colour I like to take the clean side of my 239 bush and apply a bit of All That Glitters, just in the middle where both colours meet, just to bridge the gap, I really love how all the colours complement each other. Lastly I like to add a bit of Brule to my brow bone, as my highlight. You could use nylon but I personally think it's a bit much for daytime and that's it, so easy even Claire can do it haha.

Let me know what your go-to neutral eyeshadows are? Do you have a particular quad that you just gravitate towards?

XOXO Claire

  1. I have a MAC 16 pan palette and my go to colours are Phloof and Woodwinked. I've just bought the Rimmel Brixton Brown Palette too, so looking forward to trying that. All That Glitters and Satin Taupe are gorgeous colours - I bet they look lovely on.
