First Impressions: Marc Jacobs The Lolita Eyeshadow Palette

I fondly remember my blue eyeshadow days, luckily I've moved on and thankfully there's no photo evidence! I've definitely turned into a neutral eye Nancy though, I can barely open my eyeshadow draw it's so chockablock. Did I need to add another into the fold? No, but once you see how beautiful it is you will understand my madness!

Marc Jacobs The Lolita Eyeshadow Palette

When the fashion powerhouse Marc Jacobs launched their very own beauty line last summer, there was one product that stood out amongst the whole collection - The Lolita Palette. It's what neutral eyeshadow lovers dreams are made of!

First lets appreciate the sleek packaging, it's gorgeous, even if it does attract fingerprints, the pouch is also a lovely touch. The shadows themselves are buttery soft, and are highly pigmented. There is one shade in particular that is a little more glittery than the others, but it's not necessarily a deal breaker, there's always a glitter wearing opportunity waiting in the wings, am I right?

There are 7 shades, 3 are matte, 3 are shimmers, then there's the pretty glitter. For me the standout eyeshadow is number seven at the end, it's a beautiful metallic bronze which I think would look stunning on blue eyed gals.

I think this palette is lovely, maybe not an essential, there are definitely other neutral palettes out there that are less expensive, but it would make a special gift. I'm not sure if the Marc Jacobs beauty line is coming to the UK, but it is available on Sephora which now does ship to the UK, so if you desperately want to add this palette to your collection it's not impossible.

Have you tried anything from the Marc Jacobs Beauty Line? What do you think of this palette?

  2. So damn pretty! I've seen this being the most popular of all his eye palettes! I personally would love a blush from his collection, they look so luminous and unique in the pan!
