First Impressions: Clinique Cheek Pop in Peach Pop

I'm always gonna be a sucker for cute packaging, I really am a marketers dream, for example the new Cheek Pop Collection from Clinique had my name written all over it. There are 4 shades in this collection I decided to say in my usual "Peachy - Pink" comfort zone and chose the shade Peach Pop.

Clinique Cheek Pop in Peach Pop

I don't even know where to start with this blush, it's stunning! Onto the actual blush itself, it's a beautiful peach shade that when applied to the skin gives a pretty flush of colour. The formula is a strange one, it's not completely a powder nor is a cream. The only way I can describe it is silky, (not the best description I know but..) it's not particularly shimmery it just leaves a nice sheen to the skin, like it's glowing.

The pigmentation is good and buildable, though it is on the sheer side compared to some of my other blushes, but it does have fab staying power. I think this shade is prefect for those of us who are on the paler side, I'm not sure how it would work on darker skintones, but there are other shades in the range that would look just as lovely. I think this particular blush would make a lovely addition to a summer make up bag.

Have you added one of these flowers to your collection yet? Is cute packaging important to you, does it sell the product?

XOXO Claire

    1. It's not a red in real life as it shows up in the pictures, it's more peach, but still so wearable :)

  6. I love the look of these and surprised by how pigmented it is. They almost look a little waxy, so I imagined that they wouldn't be all that pigmented. As a blush fanatic, I will definitely be picking one or two of these up.

    1. They do feel a little waxy, the first application is pretty sheer but it can actually build up a lovely colour :)

  7. Love the packaging and yes it does make the world of a difference! I really think they put in a great deal of effort and the deep embossing is beautiful and the shades are so effortlessly easy to wear! I'd love berry or ginger pop!

  10. I have the same shade and though I absolutely love the embossing/design, I'm a bit iffy about the actual product. It's not as pigmented as I would've expected which is a bit disappointing in my books, though maybe I'm too spoiled by my other heavily pigmented blushes!
