NOTD | Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Polish In Ginger Melon

The Parfumerie Scented Nail Polishes from Revlon were certainly high on my beauty wishlist, I had been coveting them ever since their USA launch. Last month they finally hit our shores and despite telling myself I would hold out, (I am going to Florida in two weeks) I couldn't help myself, I had to add one to my collection.

I choose a summer appropriate shade in Ginger Melon, first of all the packaging is to die for, they are very aesthetically pleasing. They have an average sized brush, but I'm sad to say the formulation did disappoint me. The first coat was very streaky and it took 4 coats for my nails to be completely opaque, I had such high expectations. As for the scent you can't really smell it when you're applying the colour, it's when it's dried where you can definitely smell the fruitiness, even through a topcoat which I was surprised about. It's not overly strong but you do get a whiff of it every now and then.

For wear time it's pretty good, it's been 3 days and I only have one chip, though I do change my polishes quite often so it might not be for girls who like their manicures to last a week. Even though I found the formulation a little difficult to work with, I will still be picking up a few more colours, maybe I got a dodgy bottle.

Have you tried the Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Polishes yet? What do you think of the formula?

XOXO Claire

  1. I love the look of these bottles, it's a shame it took so many coats to get a full colour xxx

  3. Formulation is so important and 4 coats is a big no-no for me! It's all well and good having a quirky product, but without the application being spot on, it's pointless!

  4. It is a gorgeous colour, even if it lasts 3 days it would be worth it.

  6. I love the look of the bottle and the colour! So pretty for the summertime. It's sad that it took so many coats to get it opaque! I absolutely loathe doing my nails, so laborious - so I don't think I'll be buying this product. Thank you for the great review though, Claire! Take care!!
