Product Review & Swatches: NYX Butter Glosses

I've never really been a gloss girl, even when I was a teen and a sample of clear gloss came free with my monthly Top Of The Pops or Smash Hits magazine (remember those? Oh boy do I feel old) Nahh too sticky. Fast forward 14 years (OMG) and there may be one brand that has stolen my heart and sent me on a gloss binge!

L-R  Apple Strudel / Cherry Pie /  Eclair /  Cherry Cheese Cake / Red Velvet.

NYX has made me completely change my tune thanks to their deliciously sounding and smelling Butter Glosses. The formula is just so creamy, not in the slightest bit sticky and the colours are so opaque. The shade range is lovely too from nice neutral everyday girly pinks to bright bold night time reds. If I haven't sold you yet this will, they are super inexpensive coming it at just a fiver (less if you buy them in the states, don't you just love the conversion rate!) I think it's completely acceptable to add a few to your lip product wardrobe.

I recently added four more colours to my collection and as always with me I'm drawn to the brightest colours. That being said my current favourite of the bunch is definitely Apple Strudel, it's such a flattering colour that works well over the top of lipsticks, I recommend the Apple Strudel & Mac Hue combination, so pretty and not too nude.

I know I haven't done any lip swatches, but honestly my lips are not exactly in the best shape right now so I didn't want to put you through that haha, though I'm sure they will be featured in some face of the day posts in the future.

In the UK you can get these glosses and other NYX Products from Feel Unique & Boots

Are you a gloss fan? Or like me have you been converted, to non sticky formulas?

XOXO Claire
