I never thought I would see the day where I would turn into a fake tan
addict, ok slow down we're not in Geordie Shore territory here, but I am
enjoying having a bit of colour.
I've been completely blown away by this cheap as chips self tanner. Now I'm not a fake tan expert in the slightest, but I can just about figure out what the good vs bad quality's to look for are. As a former member of the albino club the idea of turning orange is a big fear of mine and it's particularly high when I'm trying a new self tanner, but I really didn't need to worry with this one, it's fabulous!
First of all, the one thing I used to hate about using other tanners is having to apply them before bed, wait for the colour to develop and wash it off in the morning. Definitely not my thing, for one I have white bedding (yuck) second, I'll be honest, you stink! Am I wrong? You can expect none of that with this tanner.
This one hour tan is perfect if you, like me suffer from pale-itus. You can leave it just an hour for a light tan, two hours for a medium tan, or three hours for a nice golden glow. I'd say it's definitely more suited to pale/light to medium skin tones, if you're looking for an extreme dose of colour, you should maybe pick up the Dark Version. Which is definitely on my to-try list, I'll get back to you on that one.
It has a whipped mousse consistency and glides on the skin really easily and there is a bit of wriggle room to even out application. It sinks into the skin pretty quickly without leaving any greasy or sticky residue, which means you can get dressed after about 5 minutes.
I normally leave it on for about three hours, as it does continue to develop even after you've washed it off. Another thing I really like about this tanner is that it doesn't cling to dry patches or leave the skin feeling tight or itchy, I hate that! As for wear time, on me it lasts about a week, though I do have on a few layered applications so for the first few times it might last a little less. It also fades evenly, which has been a huge problem for me in the past, especially with St Tropez.
If I haven't suckered you in yet, just wait for this, it costs £7.99! Say what.. you're saving £10 a bottle right there, bargain!
What are your favourite tanners? I may have been bitten by the tanning bug haha.
XOXO Claire
