Favourite Beauty Products Of 2014

Ok Ok, I know I'm a bit late with this one but better late then never right? So, instead of doing the whole beauty shebang, makeup, hair, skin, tools yada yada, we would be here all day, so I've just put together my stand out make up items, as they were easier to narrow down. Lets get started, otherwise 2016 will be on the horizon..

2014 Beauty Favourites
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer
Base-wise these two products from Nars have been my star duo! As foundation's go this one does it all, it gives good coverage without looking cakey, doesn't cling to dry patches and has pretty good longevity. When you add this beauty of a concealer into the mix your skin can look pretty flawless, it's creamy enough (hence the name) to cover blemishes but light enough to banish the bags, have I sold you yet?

Clarins Bronzer
This beautiful bronzer and I have been in a pretty intense relationship since I bought it. It's the prefect shade for those of us who are on the paler side of Casper, it gives warmth to your completion without being orange and can be built up and used as a contour. It was originally limited edition, but I've checked and it's still available on the Clarins website, and it's in the sale, so if you fancy getting yourself a gem of a bronzer be quick.

Hourglass Ambient Lightning Blush in Dim Infusion
As my obsession with bold lips continued throughout 2014 I needed a nice natural blush that would go with anything, this stunning peach offering from Hourglass did that in spades. It manages to give a healthy glow to the skin while adding a hint of colour that can again be built up depending on the look you're doing.

Brows:
2014 was the year I finally found my "Brow Mojo" I don't know where it was hiding all these years but I'm very thankful. It's truly amazing how much a good trim and shaping can transform your whole face. I'm definitely all about the arch, the sharper the better and this pencil with it's diagonal point makes brow precision foolproof.

Anastasia Clear Brow Get
The Anastasia brow gel may not the cheapest option out there, but it makes sure my long unruly brows stay in their place, without becoming crispy.

Eyes:
Lorac Pro Palette
If you're after an eyeshadow palette that does it all, seriously consider the Lorac Pro. Every single shade is buttery soft and the whole colour selection is spot on. If you would like to see close up shots and swatches here's the post I did.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner in Nude
I'm not a black eyeliner fan but I hardly ever forget to use a nude shade in my waterline, as bloodshot eyes are a pretty regular occurrence for me thanks to my Netflix App. This one in particular has great staying power especially on watery eyes (aka me) and it's as cheap as chips.

Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara
Mascara of the year definitely goes to Tarte, this little sample has lasted me months and manages to give me length and volume in one swipe. The formula is super black and I can wear it all day and not have to worry about the dreaded flaking. Believe me, if I can find a mascara that doesn't flake it's as precious as gold!

Lips:
Nars Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella
This baby was a no brainer, matte, long lasting, comfortable on the lips, I don't really need to go on, I'm sure you've all heard about them by now but they really do deserve the hype. If you've yet to indulge in matte lip pencils make it a 2015 new years resolution, you won't be sorry.

Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pink Venus
When I wasn't wearing a bold shade you can bet your bottom dollar I was wearing this lip pencil. 2014 was definitely the resurrection of the "lip liner trend". It's super quick and looks so natural, I wear it on its own or with the lip gloss mentioned below over the top.

NYX Butter Gloss in Apple Strudel
The whole Butter Gloss line really impressed me this year, they have great pigmentation without the stickiness, I have a few shades but this one was definitely my favourite. It's full of creamy, peachy pink goodness.

I can't wait to enrich my 2015 with even more new products. I definitely need to beef up my 2015 beauty wishlist hehe!

What were your standout products this year?

XOXO Claire
