Beauty Edit: My Holiday Beauty Essentials 2015

I've definitely learnt over the years that less is more when it comes to packing beauty products, why waste potential shopping space? Less, really is more holiday friendly. Trust me when I say, if I can pare down my over-packing nature anyone can! I kept my selection simple and concentrated on mini and multi-purpose products. Obviously I took a few extra things, like my toothbrush, razor, shower gel... but they're not very exciting really are they? So lets do the holiday rundown shall we?

My Holiday Beauty Essentials 2015
// Algenist Genius Ultimate Anti-Aging Melting Cleanser //
// Tarte Safeguard SPF 30 //
// Chantecaille Jasmine & Lily Healing Mask //
// Toni & Guy Cleanse Shampoo & Nourish Conditioner //
// Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray //
// (Not Pictured) Caudalie Divine Oil //

For skincare I kept it really minimal, I was only away for one week, so did I honestly need to take 3 different cleansers? No, not really, so I just stuck to the one - my new favourite from Algenist (look out for it in my upcoming favourites post) it definitely gets the job done!

As for suncream I took this new mini from Tarte (how cute is this packaging) and I have to say I was impressed, it wasn't greasy, sank in really quickly and didn't interfere with my makeup. What more do you need to ask from a suncream? To keep my skin soft and moisturised I took this mini sample of healing cream from Chantecaille (besides the strange pickle scent, I'm not kidding haha) it left my skin lovely and plumped and really hydrated, after hours in the sunshine.

My minimal theme continued in the haircare department, I decided to give the mini Toni & Guy Cleanse Shampoo & Nourish Conditioner a go, I know quite a risky move considering I have never tried them before, but I was so impressed.. my hair felt clean, soft and healthy. In fact I loved them so much I've just purchased the full sizes, which is quite unusual for me. I hate to admit it but I'm a Bumble & Bumble snob, which leads me to.. the Surf Spray. Seeing as I'm not a beach bunny I needed something to emulate the look of beach worthy hair.

My Holiday Beauty Essentials 2015
// Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Palette //
// Nars Tinted Moisturiser //
// Stila Convertible Colour in Gerbera //
// Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara //
// Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm in Unapologetic //
// Nars Radiance Creamy Concealer //
// Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base //

Moving on to make up, I only brought one base (I know, I shocked myself) which was my beloved Nars Tinted Moisturiser which is super easy to apply (no brush needed!) has high SPF and great coverage - jackpot! Together with the TM I brought my matching Nars concealer because, well it never leaves my side haha. Another product I always bring with me is my Nars Eyeshadow Base, even though I didn't really wear any eyeshadow (just a bit of bronzer through the crease) my lids still get super oily, so I need to keep the shine away!

My bronzer of choice was the absolutely stunning Bronze & Glow Palette and when combined with the Stila Convertible Colour they are quite the power couple. Mascara wise I just stuck to what I know... Tarte Lights Camera Lashes, it may not be 100% waterproof but it did what I needed it to do. (Oh on a side note the waterproof version, not so waterproof!) Lastly for lip products, well I didn't really wear any, my lips caught the sun on the first day and were rather red so I didn't bother... Note to self, bring lip balm with SPF, next time!

So there we have it, the majority of my beauty holiday wardrobe, this post is a lot longer than I intended considering the amount of products, but you know me I like to ramble haha.

What are your holiday beauty essentials? Are you going somewhere hot this summer? Where are you off to? Make me riddled with jealousy.

XOXO Claire

  1. I have a sample of the Tarte safeguard, so far i'm liking it. It's very lightweight product and that's what I've been looking for so I may punches a full bottle.

  2. It's lovely isn't it, plus the packaging is so cute so much nicer than any other suncream I've tried :)

  3. I got sample along side of the safeguard is the Origins one, it comes in a tub. Gets under my nails and all gross, not just not a great combo with my combination skin it's too heavy

Thank you so much for stopping by, let me know your thoughts on this post by leaving a comment, they really do mean the world to me!
