Summer Makeup Edit | Mac Please Me Lipstick

I thought I would showcase one of my latest lipstick acquisitions, Mac Please Me. It's obviously a generic "me"shade a peachy pink, but this time it's actually a matte finish. I normally only venture to the "matte" side when it comes to red lipstick, so this is a little different for me. Also on a side note - I rediscovered my deep wave styler and got a bit carried away!

The main focus of this look was of course the Mac Please Me Lipstick, but I also wanted to crack out my new favourite (one wash) eyeshadow stick. Yes ladies, I dug deep into my pockets and purchased the highly raved about, By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Misty Rock. Wow, this stuff is seriously gorgeous and my little piggy eyes really don't do it any justice. You can sort of see in the bottom picture, it's a metallic lilac/grey with silver shimmer running through it.

I love that this lipstick is natural enough for everyday, but the matte aspect just makes it a little more fancy! In other news I gave the Urban Decay Perversion mascara another go and honestly I'm still not a fan, at the end of the day I looked like a raccoon! So that one unfortunately, gets the thumbs down from me.

Lastly, I pulled out my deep waver and just went to town and you know what, I actually quite like how it turned out. I could have done with running a bit of oil through the lengths to defuse the frizz, but overall I was pleasantly surprised, considering it took less time than using a curling wand. This could be an early favourite...

What do you think of the whole wavy vs crimped look? Also let me know what your go-to daytime lipstick is?

  XOXO Claire
