A "Sephora Haul" With First Impressions

I check the Sephora website as often as I check my email, so another cheeky beauty order was inevitable. My last haul was in November, (here's the Link) if you fancy a nosy, and I feel like a reasonable amount of time has passed to make this one justified, right? So instead of just showing you what I bought, I thought I would give a few things a try first and then give you my first impressions, so lets get started. Honestly though, I think this post should be called "Claire buys more liquid lipsticks" because oops I did it again!

A girl can never have enough masks, right? You only get one face after all! I've only used it once so far, but I can already tell it's gonna be a winner. It really gives your pores a good clean without leaving your skin tight and dry. It's also pretty inexpensive, as face masks go.

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Shampoo | Link
I'm a huge fan of the Living Proof 5 in 1 Styling Treatment, so I fancied giving the shampoo from the same line a whirl. I've only tried it once so far, but I wasn't blown away. Shampoos can sometimes take a few uses before you can really form an opinion, so I will persevere with this one and I'll let you know.

Sephora Collection Colour Switch Brush Cleaner | Link
This sounded like an amazing idea in theory. A dry makeup removing sponge, which you just swipe your brush on to remove any colour. In actuality I found it quite time consuming, the colour in my brushes just didn't want to come out. This doesn't do anything a regular old kitchen sponge would do, so this one is a miss for me (sob).

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder

I've been desperate to try this setting powder after seeing it all over YouTube, and the miniature size was a great excuse. Even after a few applications, I think I can say it may be replacing my other setting power, it's so light on the skin.

Sephora Cream Lip Stain in 13 Marvelous Mauve | Link
I blame Allana Davison for this purchase, that girl can seriously rock a nude lip and considering my liquid lipstick obsession, you know, you've seen "this post", if not ahem... I just had to add this shade to my collection.

Too Faced French Kisses Melted Liquified Lipstick Set

This Christmas set was a complete impulse purchase, but from the outset I'm not a huge fan of the packaging. They look cute with gold lids, but the sponge applicator doesn't make for easy application, a few shades can be a bit streaky, so I'll get back to you.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Carina, Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in A-Go-Go, Marc Jacobs Poutliner Longwear Lip Liner Pencil in Primrose

Listen up fellow Liquid Lipstick lovers, Sephora now sell a few shades of the ABH Liquid Lipsticks so, of course I had to pick one up and oh is it a beaut! It's described as an "intense watermelon" and I definitely agree with that. It's so comfortable on the lips and the pigmentation is on par with my favourite Stila ones.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in A-Go-Go | Link
This shade is a true bright orange, a bit out of my comfort zone, but I was feeling a little daring and I clearly couldn't just buy one LL, I have to buy them in even numbers haha.

Marc Jacobs Poutliner Longwear Lip Liner Pencil in Primrose | Link
Another impulsive act of pure curiosity. This lip liner is actually a dead ringer for Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk, which if I had known, I probably wouldn't have ordered it. Yes it is super creamy, but the colours are so close I certainly didn't need both. Oh well, no point crying over split milk, or in this case...lipstick!

Liquid Lipstick Swatches
Primerose | A-Go-Go | Carina | 13 Marvelous Mauve | Melted Metallic Peony | Melted Chihuahua | Melted Metallic Macaron | Melted Berry.

I would definitely say this "Haul" was successful, a girl can never have enough liquid lipsticks am I right?

P.S People don't tell you how hard it is to write with chalk!

What beauty products have you picked up recently? Let me know...

XOXO Claire

  11. I recently went to America and spent 3/4 of my time browsing around Sephora! I really wanted to try out some of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks but couldn't find any in store. Instead, I picked up lots of Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks and Sephora's Cream Lip Stains! You bought a great mix of things - shame the make-up brush cleaner was a bit of a fail x
