Top 5 Beauty Products I Discovered In 2015!

I know this post is a tad late considering we just went into February (say what!) but I couldn't let 2015 go without mentioning my top 5 beauty products that I not only discovered, but have pretty much become staples in my beauty routine. I've even re-purchased a few of them and from me, that is high praise, so lets pop down 2015 memory lane.

L'O'real Casting Sunkiss Jelly in 03
2015 was the year I decided to go blonde (no, not Elle Woods blonde) just a nice golden hue. It didn't exactly go to plan, thanks to a dodgy trip to the hairdressers. Luckily this jelly helped me out majorly and gave me the sunkissed locks I'd longed for. If you fancy reading my thoughts in full, pop over to my review post.

Seventeen Doll'd Up Mascara
This is without a doubt my most used mascara! I'm already on my second tube and it still blows me away. It manages to lift my lashes, making them look so long and black while holding a curl, but it's the formula that I'm most impressed with. I can put it on my lower lashes (which I never normally do) without it flaking or smudging, which is a big deal for me and my seriously oily eyes. If you're looking for a super inexpensive, drugstore mascara that gives impressive length, you definitely need to pick up this one! If you fancy reading my first impressions in full, here's that post.

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Palette
I bought this bronzer back in June and it's pretty much the only bronzer I used in 2015. It's such a gorgeously soft powder, that works so well with my pale skin, it doesn't make me look tangoed which I appreciate and even though it's expensive, you really get what you pay for. Plus, it seems to go on forever, I should have definitely hit pan by now haha. If you fancy seeing this palette in the flesh, this post shows off it's true beauty.

Sally Hansen Insta Dri Anti Chip Topcoat
Since September this is the only topcoat I've used to paint my nails, that's roughly once a week for five months (that's definitely love). It not only drys my nails ridiculously quickly, it also leaves them with a beautiful glossy finish, almost like glass. I've even had a few people ask if it's gel, nope it's not, it only costs a fiver. I have mentioned this topcoat in many posts, but this post is where I really sang it's praises and I gave you a rundown of my manicure routine.

Lip Liners:
2015 is where I really discovered my love for lip liners, no longer are they an "old fashioned" beauty product, used by the more mature lady. They've had a revival, mainly thanks to Kylie Jenner and I'm loving them. So I have three that I had to mention.

Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk
I was lucky enough to win this gorgeous lip liner in a blog giveaway and it's been a permanent fixture in my makeup bag. If I'm not wearing a bold lip, chances are I'm wearing this baby. It's creamy formula is comfortable on the lips and lasts for hours, what more can you ask for?

 Mac Soar Lip Liner
I may not have had this infamous lipi for that long but it's certainly made an impression on me, for the right reasons. It's my perfect nude, not too light, not too brown, with just the right amount of pink. It's definitely earned it's celebrity status!

Rimmel Eastend Snob Lip Liner
This is a great drugstore dupe for the CT one and I actually owned this one first. It's lovely and creamy and so inexpensive, for example you can buy four of the Rimmel ones for the price of one Lip Cheat, which is definitely something to think about if you're on a budget. If you fancy reading my first impression of this lip liner along with the Doll'd Up Mascara, here's the link to that post.

I can't wait to see what my most loved products will be for 2016, I already have a few possible contenders.

What were your top 5 products of 2015? I need some things to add to my beauty list for 2016, so comment away, my pen is ready.

  13. Thank you, aww it's a shame you didn't get on with the Seventeen Mascara, my mum tried it and she didn't like it either, I guess it depends on your lashes :)
