Beauty Edit: Older Posts Revisited

When you've been a beauty blogger for as long as I have (6 years fyi) you amass quite the collection of posts in your archive, over 400 to be exact. The majority of my old, old posts went long ago because of the cringe factor alone, but some of my beauty ramblings still ring true today. I thought it might be fun to go back in time and check in with a few posts from way-back-when. Some of the products mentioned might still be regulars in my beauty rotation. So, lets jump back to 2014, when "Strobing" was just a Star Wars term haha.

Product Review: Charlotte Tilbury The Ingenue Look Gift Box
This gorgeous set was quite possibly the most amount of money I'd spent on makeup at one time, but every girl needs a bit of CT in their lives, am I  right? So this post gives a little more insight into my first CT experience.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation Review
I used to have a love-hate relationship with this foundation, which I talk about in the above review, but now it's cemented itself as my all time favourite, quite some feat considering I can barely shut my "Foundation" drawer.

The Lip Product Addict Tag
We all know how much I love lip products, ok I own up I have a problem, so I think this tag was pretty much made for me haha. Now I think there should be a liquid lipstick category, especially considering how much they've blown up this last year. Anyone up for a Lip Product Addict Tag #2?

Product Review: Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
I was a die hard Bioderma fan until I tried this micellar water, you can read my review to truly grasp my love for it haha, but still to this day it's the only one I've continued to re-purchase. Garnier have recently come out with an oil infused version, which I'm very intrigued by, let me know if you've tried it. If it's good I may have to pop to Boots.

FOTD | Mac Russian Red Lipstick
This post may not be groundbreaking content wise, but for me it was significant because I loved the picture. Pretty vain I know, but I'm not very confident showing my face and I really love how this one turned out. In fact, it's actually now my profile picture, so that was a big moment for me. Though I do love a good red lipstick too, but I'm pretty sure you knew that already considering I'm like a broken record haha.

First Impressions: Lorac Pro Eyeshadow Palette (With Swatches)
This eyeshadow palette was probably my most coveted American beauty product (at the time) so I had to document the moment. It may well be one of my most used beauty products ever! Even now my heart still misses a beat every time I look at it, just read my review if you're still on the fence.

Curvy Fashion Lookbook Marbella 2015
Another post I'm really proud of is this fashion lookbook. It may not be up to "the cool girl" "fashion blogger" standard but for someone who has always struggled with their weight, I'm really happy with how this turned out! In fact at Christmas ASOS sent me my own mock up magazine cover featuring this photo, which well and truly made my day. At least now I can pretend I'm a Victoria Secret model, Gigi Hadid eat your heart out haha, not.

Product Review: Bumble & Bumble Sunday Shampoo
This one really is a golden oldie, if you remember this review, props to you - it was definitely a long time ago. That being said, I still love it to this day, though I will say the photography in said post is not my finest work. It was 2012, can you let me off?

Product Review: YSL Youth Liberator Foundation
Last but by no means least is this gorgeous foundation, I really don't use it as much as I should and I realized that while flipping though my archives. It's so lovely and that's what I love about blog catalogs, you can go though and rediscover old products that you used to really enjoy. The beauty industry moves so fast some things can certainly get lost in the process.

I did a similar kind of post last summer, so if you liked this one and fancy another look at "vintage Claire" here's the Link.

Are there any products that you used "back in the day" that you still use now? Please tell me I'm not the only one who still cringes at their older posts?

XOXO Claire
