February 2016 Beauty Favourites

Even though February has less days than any other month it still seemed to go incredibly slowly, for me anyway, I think it's because I'm longing for Spring. I did however try a bunch of new products this month, along with a few re-discoveries, so lets go through my favourite beauty products of the month.

Beauty, Makeup, Clarins, Pink Nail Polish
Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel | Link
This is the only thing I've used to remove my makeup this month. It's gel texture is soothing and hydrating, emulsifying into a milk that just "melts" away any trace of makeup. It's also gentle enough to use on your eyes, if you like me tend to open them during the remover process haha. You'll know all this already though, if you read my post about " Beauty Products On Trial".

Real Techniques Miracle Sponge | Link
I bought this sponge a ridiculously long time ago and never really gave it a proper trial. Honestly it's the fact that you have to wet it under the tap that used to put me off, I could never be bothered. Anyway, I finally put down my buffing brush, dashed to the sink and have completely fallen in love with this sponge. The finish it gives my foundation is lovely, it just makes it melt into my skin and really gives that airbrushed, polished look.

Kiehls Micro-Blur Skin Perfector | Link
I've always struggled with the size of my pores, especially around my cheeks, they just eat up my foundation. I needed a primer that would create a smooth veil over my skin and stop my base siting in said pores, this one works flawlessly. When combined with the RT Sponge, they give me the illusion of a smooth, pore free base.

Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion | Link
I'm really enjoying the Mario Badescu brand, so far there isn't a product I haven't tried and loved, this one is no different. You know those deep, under the skin spots that are really painful? Well this lotion is fantastic at healing those type of spots, which I seem to be getting a lot of recently. It works overnight, soothing any inflammation and dramatically reduces the size of my spots. If you suffer from cystic acne, I definitely recommend trying this lotion.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Morocco

Inexpensive liquid lipsticks that are comfortable on the lips, have high pigment and longevity are hard to come by, but NYX have certainly got their formula right. This bright orange, red shade is quite the showstopper and I absolutely love it! I have a FOTD featuring this gorgeous shade coming soon if you fancy seeing it on my lips, so stay tuned.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in "Carina" | Link
Another lip colour I've been loving is this gorgeous watermelon shade that I picked up in my "Sephora Haul". I've never tried any of the Anastasia Liquid Lipsticks before, but I can already tell I won't be stopping at just the one shade. The formula is smooth and creamy, just like the NYX ones, though the price point is a little higher, but they are completely worth it in my opinion!
Deborah Lippmann "Candy Girl" Nail Polish
Baby Pink Nail Polishes:

I do love pink don't get me wrong, but it was never a colour I used to gravitate towards for my nails, until this month. I seem to have been hit by the "Elle Woods" dart. You may have noticed, but my Instagram (shameless plug) is awash with pastel pink, as are my nails. I even bought a baby pink scarf. What is happening to me haha!

What were your stand out products of the month? Are you a fan of baby pink nails?

XOXO Claire
