March 2016 Beauty Favourites

March was a very make-up centered month for me, quite a few new products popped up on my radar and I also rediscovered a few old favourites and got reacquainted. Some of them may be no surprise if you read my "Beauty Products On Trial Post", but there are a few making their first appearance on this little beauty blog, so lets get started.

Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint, Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser
Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint
I won't go into too much detail on this one because I have done a "First Impression Review", but this medium coverage skin tint is fast becoming my go-to base. It's long lasting and gives the skin a natural (skin-like) appearance, what's not to love. Only time will tell if it can overtake my all time love that is the Sheer Glow, at the moment they are literally level pegging.

Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser
My skin is currently the clearest it's been in months and I can only attribute that to this cleanser. It's creamy, but the "mud" aspect makes sure it pulls out all impurities, leaving your skin clean, without feeling dry. It really has blown me away, plus the packaging is just spot on.

Mac Whisper Of Gilt Extra Dimension Skinfinish

Ok, I know I'm being really mean showing this highlighter considering it was limited edition, but favourites posts are all about your "fave" products and I've been using this a tonne. It literally makes your cheekbones look like you've been kissed by angels, if you fancy seeing it on the skin, I did a post a while ago all about "Strobing" so you can see for yourself. I do know that there are a few possible "dupes" around though, Jaclyn Hill supposedly mirrored Champagne Pop on this baby. I don't have that one myself so I can't compare, but just looking at swatches online they do look pretty similar.

Laura Mercier Translucent Finishing Powder
I picked up this travel sized setting powder in my latest "Sephora Haul" and I've been using it to set my foundation and under eye concealer ever since. It really holds everything in place without looking cakey, and adds longevity to my base as a whole. At first I was worried it would be quite messy as it's a loose powder, but it's actually not that bad, plus this little tub is gonna last me an age.

Mac Sunny Seoul Lipstick
Mac Sunny Seoul Lipstick
When I dream of "Spring" I just think of this shade of lipstick. It's fresh, girly and so wearable, plus the Cremesheen formula makes it easy to apply and it's so comfortable on the lips. Obviously because of that, it's not that long wearing, but it's perfect for Spring, you can see me wearing it in this "FOTD Post". This lipstick also looks gorgeous over the top of the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk, it's the prefect Spring pairing.

Maybelline Falsies Push-Up Drama Mascara
I never thought I would stray from my beloved Seventeen Doll'd Up Mascara but you know, it doesn't hurt to change it up every now and again. I'm not gonna lie, it was the packaging that lured me in at first but I actually really like the mascara. It does have quite a wet formula, so I only do two coats, and it's more volumising than I normally go but I'm loving it. Plus it doesn't flake onto my under eyes, which is my biggest bugbear.

Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief
Last, but by no means least, this mosituriser, It's been in my collection for a while, but it's only in the last month that I started using it continuously at night-time. It's a strange one, as it has a light, gel texture that feels quite wet when it's applied, but it's seriously hydrating and so cooling on the skin (amazing in the summer I can imagine). When I wake up my skin feels refreshed and plump, like it's drunk 2 pints of water overnight. I also think it's a moisturiser that would work well for all skin types because of it's high hydration but lightweight formula.

  12. It's beautiful isn't it, I feel so bad mentioning it but hopefully Mac re-promote it in the future, though the Becca highlighter in Champagne Pop is supposed to be similar :)

Nida | Caked To The Nines

  14. At the time I bought it I had no idea what a cult following it had, I wasn't that into highlighter at the time. Maybe in the future they might re-promote it, they've done it with other things and now some are permanent ;)
