Beauty Edit: Pink Friday

Who says you can only "Wear Pink On Wednesdays?" Sorry Mean Girls, but I say you can wear pink any day of the week and I think Glossier agree with that philosophy. They not only designed their packaging in the soft baby hue, they also started their own #glossierpink Pinterest Board to celebrate all the shades of pink, check out some of their beauty products to learn more about them. I'm teaming up with Glossier to come up with my own "Pink" themed beauty post, I
know I never need any excuse to be "Pretty In Pink".

In my opinion pink nails just look chic. It's a classic colour that you can wear any time of the year for any occasion and the best part is the shade range is endless. From pastel baby pinks to shocking fuchsia there's always going be something for everyone and I don't think you can say that for most colours of the rainbow. Two of my personal favourite shades are from OPI, Pink Friday which is the one I'm wearing, a cool toned girly pink and Mod About You, which is more of a white based pastel pink. You really can't go wrong with an OPI Polish, I may dabble with other nail brands but I always come back to them.

One of my current favourite pink lipsticks is Mac Sunny Seoul, it's a such an easy to wear colour that's super low maintenance perfect for the Spring & Summer months. As with most Mac lipstick the formula is creamy and pigmented and this shade is a Creamsheen Finish, so it gives a gorgeous glossy sheen to the lips. If you fancy adding to your own lipstick collection, you might like to see my most Recent Mac Lipstick Collection.

For me there is one fragrance that's the epitome of femininity, Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb. Not only is the bottle stunning, the scent itself is a beautiful bouquet of sweet floral notes, including Rose,  Orchid and Jasmine. Now for someone who really isn't a fan of "floral" fragrances this one might be a bit of an unusual choice, but on me it smells more fruity, it's just delicious. This is actually my second bottle and for someone who rarely re-purchases things, that is very high praise indeed! It's just one of those scents that's a classic, I can spray it on my clothes and at the end of the day they still smell amazing! I definitely recommend giving it a sniff the next time you're in a beauty hall, I haven't met one person who hasn't thought it smells delicious.

Make sure to check out Glossiers Pinterest Board if you need a bit of girly inspiration.

What are a few of your favourite "Pink Themed" beauty products?

  1. I love pink nails too! I recently got the Barry M Coconut Infusion in Surfboard - it's very Spring appropriate.

I'm a sucker for a pink bath - does that count as a beauty product? There's just something very calming about it that makes you feel like a princess!

Glossier's Pinterest sounds right up my street - even if it will make me feel bad about my own... Hehe.

    Lovely post :)
