Makeup Edit: The Easy 1 Minute Smokey Eye

You know in the early mornings when you've hit the snooze button one time too many, but still fancy wearing eyeshadow and you just don't have the time mix and blend different shades? Yeah, we've all been there. Well I may have found the perfect duo, which allows you to create that smokey, grungy eye look, that looks like you've spent a tonne of time, when in fact it took 1 minute.

I recently discovered one half of this duo thanks to the lovely Jennifer, I was lucky enough to win her giveaway and one of the prizes was this gorgeous cream eyeshadow stick by Kiko. Ever since it arrived I've been favoring an easy, one wash of colour look.

I literally do a couple of swipes of the Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow in "05" all over my lid and that's it for actual shadow. It's so pigmented and the colour itself is quite unusual. It's a pretty brown taupe, with fine silver glitter running through it. The glitter is fine enough to add a multidimensional effect, without making you look like a glitterball, it's beautiful. As with any cream product it doesn't last as long as it's powder counterparts, but when combined with my Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Primer it definitely sticks around a long while, even with my oily eyelids.

To blend said shadow I've been using the Morphe "M524 Medium Shadow Fluff" Brush, which does an amazing job. It's made of natural goats hair, so it's fluffy, but still holds its shape to softy defuse any harsh edges. It just buffs the cream eyeshadow in seamlessly and literally takes less than a minute.

Would you just look at that colour, isn't she a beaute. A few swipes of this eyeshadow stick, a couple of coats of mascara and there you have yourself an easy 1 minute smokey eye, that's perfect for both day and night.

What are your top products for creating an easy, 1 minute smokey eye? Have you tried any of the Kiko eyeshadow sticks?
