April 2016 Beauty Favourites

It only seems like yesterday that I was gathering products for my March Beauty Favourites Post, time's going so fast I feel like I'm stuck on a waltzer. I lot of those products may now be regulars in my beauty routine, but I still managed to discover a few new ones to rave about, so lets see which products made the cut.
April 2016 Beauty Favourites
I've been looking for a great "Drugstore" Primer for quite a while, they are seriously low on the ground, though this one is the exception. It manages to create a veil over my pores, making my foundation apply seamlessly, without settling in said pores throughout the day. A pea sized amount goes a long way and certainly helps add longevity to my base products. If you're looking for an inexpensive primer, I definitely recommend trying this one.

This CC Cream is pretty unique, it combines both the weight and texture of a tinted moisturiser, with a medium coverage foundation. It really does live up to it's "Your Skin But Better" name, it feels so light on the skin. It also has surprising staying power considering its consistency. The one thing I'm not sold on is the scent, it smells like lemon cheesecake, which to me is a bit weird, but it's something I can easily overlook because the product is amazing! News on the grapevine suggests "It Cosmetics" could quite soon be hitting UK shores, so that's very exciting.

Revlon Colourstay Gel Envy Nail Polishes in Wild Card & Full House.
I'm pretty picky when it comes to nail polish formulas, but this line has really impressed me. Both of these shades are opaque in 2 coats and the round tipped brush makes for an easy application, especially around the delicate cuticle area. As it's a "Gel" effect formula the finish is shiny and super long-lasting. When I combine these polishes with the Sally Hansen Insta Dri Topcoat my nails last a whole chip free week. If you fancy seeing these colours actually on my nails, check out my Instagram.

This stunning highlighter palette was going to fall into my grasp at some point, it was inevitable and you know what, it was love at first sight. The shade Pearl in particular is just "ahhh", seriously angels sing when you apply this baby. You really get a lot of bang for your buck too, the pans are huge and each one holds 7.4 grams of gorgeously soft, pigmented powder that really does make you "Shine Bright, Like A Diamond".

Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Serenity.
I've decided that to be a true Liquid Lipstick fan, I have to try out one lippi from every brand available. So for my first foray into Gerard Cosmetics I chose a red based nude, the classic KJ shade (which is a little out of my comfort zone) but I actually love both the colour and the formula, check below for a swatch. It's super comfortable on my lips and because it's only a little darker than my natural lip colour, it doesn't look too alien-like on me haha #palegirlproblems.

Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow in 05.
I've really been into no fuss eyeshadows over the last month and this one gives a gorgeous wash of taupe colour. You can read more about this eyeshadow stick in my 1 Minute Smokey Eye Post.

Tarte Tartelette Tease Palette

First off can we address how ridiculously cute this miniature eyeshadow palette is, it's tiny. Normally I'm not a fan of "travel" palettes but this one is lovely, all the shades are buttery soft, pigmented and so wearable. My most used shades are Crush and First Kiss which actually look gorgeous over the top of the Kiko Cream Eyeshadow Stick.

I love the look of the Gerard lipstick! I don't own any but they always suck me into their Instagram, haha! ;p

  17. I have serious #palegirlproblems haha, the Gerard Lipstick has just enough pink in so it works with my complexion instead of against it. The Glow Palette is definitely a must have in my book :)
