How To Ship Colourpop To The UK? With Haul & Swatches

One of the makeup brands I've been dying to get my manicured mitts on for over a year, is Colourpop. They have without a doubt, some of the most gorgeously pigmented, affordable makeup on the market. Every American Youtube video I would watch, would make my heart ache because they don't actually ship to the UK (though they say they are working on it). Luckily though, a few companies saw an opportunity, a gap in the market to help make our makeup dreams come true.

Firstly I should probably explain what a "Shipping company" does, just in case you're not familiar. It's basically a huge warehouse, where you're given your own address, (which I imagine as a personal cubby hole haha) which you can use to make orders from the USA, they will then ship them to you. Now, I will say there are quite a few shipping companies out there, so it can be a bit overwhelming knowing which one to choose, but I first saw MyMallBox mentioned on Twitter. I checked out their website, which was really easy to navigate and decided that they were the ones I was going to use, to help bring Colourpop into my life.

So, How Does MyMallBox Work?
Well, it's actually pretty straight forward, first you sign up with your email address, you will be then given your own unique US address (kind of like a PO Box) that's affectively it, you don't even have to pay anything upfront, you just pay for your shipping when they receive your parcel. Before you decide to go shopping just make sure you fill out your details in your account, so they know where to send your parcel.

Right, now lets get into my Colourpop Haul, then I'll break down the shipping costs.

I bought 3 Lippie Stix:
Clique (Matte Orange Red)
Frida (Satin Peachy Nude)
I Heart This (Matte Raspberry)

2 Ultra Matte Lips:
Donut ( Warm Toned Peachy Pink)
Succulent (Bright Orange Red)

2 Super Shock Eyeshadows:
La La (Pink Rose Gold)
I Heart This (Glittery Taupe)

Can we have a minute's silence to appreciate the beauty of these products? Ok, I don't think I've ever been as excited to swatch an eyeshadow, hence why they don't look pristine in the photo, I couldn't help myself (you can see why below). Just going on what I've tried so far, I am very impressed, I can already tell that the eyeshadow in La La is going to be a firm favourite. If you fancy seeing how both Clique & Frida look on, you can read my "Colourpop Lippie Stix Review". Now I know you're wondering how much everything cost, so lets get down to it.

The Cost & Shipping Breakdown:
I bought 7 items from Colourpop (using Paypal) that altogether cost $32, which equated to around £23. Colourpops shipping was free because I spent over $30, plus I had signed up to their newsletter and got a $5 off code (definitely recommend do this).

MyMallBox Shipping:
I chose the second cheapest DLH option (there are a bunch of different ones,) and it cost just over $10, which is a lot less than I was expecting, especially as it had tracking. They do have a shipping rate calculator, but since you need the weight and dimensions of your parcel it's a bit difficult to get an accurate representation, in my opinion. My order came in a quilted envelope, so I think if it was in a box it would have cost more. The heavier your parcel, the more you would have to pay.

So overall, it cost me just over £31 for everything, which I think is amazing considering the prices people are charging on Ebay. As for how long I had to anxiously wait, it took 16 days from start to finish to arrive, I got emails informing me what was happening all the way through and I honestly couldn't be happier with the service.

I also wasn't hit with any customs charges, which was fantastic, it might be down to the size of the parcel, but it could just also be luck, so bare that in mind if you decide to make an order yourself, I can't make any guarantees.

I do have a referral code that will give you $5 in your shipping bank, obviously you don't need to use the link, I just thought I would add it, in case you wanted a bit of help towards your shipping costs. It's not an affiliate link, I don't make anything from it, I'm just trying to help out a fellow beauty lover. Also I should probably state that I found MyMallBox on my own through Twitter, they haven't compensated me for this post. I paid for everything myself, I just really loved their service and had to share these gorgeous products with you. Plus I may have made a second order because I was so happy (oops).

If you have any questions at all feel free to Tweet Me or Email Me, I'm more than happy to help you on your quest to owning a piece of Colourpop goodness.

Have you tried any Colourpop Products? If not, what do you think of MyMallBox, will you be placing an order?

XOXO Claire
