Summer Makeup Haul: Space NK & Boots

The Drugstore has really upped it's Summer beauty game recently and considering the amazing makeup products I've discovered from Maybelline over the last few weeks, I thought I was definitely due a trip to Boots to check out a few other new beauty releases. Oh, I may have made a small order to Space NK too, I know, naughty naughty, so I'll show you those as well. Gotta love online shopping. Right lets get started:

Of course my first port of call was locating the new "L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique Cushion Foundation." It took some time, let me tell you, I was already in the queue getting ready to pay, having resigned myself to the fact that they just didn't have it. Then from the corner of my eye I saw a miniature stand randomly placed with a few left, so I lunged. Subtle I'm not haha. I've only tried it on my hand so far, but it feels very light and dewy. I've heard mixed reviews, with some saying it's too "dewy" for oily and combination skins, so I'll definitely get back to you.

I do seem to be developing a love for contouring, especially with Drugstore makeup products, so I was inevitably going to pick up the new "L'Oreal Paris Infallible Sculpt Contour Palette".  I'm excited to see how it compares to the Maybelline Master Contouring Duo, because that one just ticks all the boxes for me, so I'll test it out and get back to you.

I picked up a few of the "L'Oreal Paris Color Riche A L'Huile Nail Polishes" a few weeks ago and was so impressed by the formula and shade range, I just had to pick up a couple more. Plus they were on 3 for 2, so technically I got one for free. I went for "220 Dimanche Apres Midi & 224 Rose Ballet" because I'm clearly, having a "Pink" moment.

Popping onto the Space NK website never turns out well for my wallet, but my makeup drawers and blog always benefit, so I think of it as a win win. I only picked up three things, but they still managed to cost a pretty penny, isn't that always the way.

I popped into my virtual basket, two more of the "Nars Audacious Lipsticks in Brigitte & Natalie". I already have the shade Lana (a bright orange toned red) and I really wanted to try a few different, more natural colours, and these two just spoke to me. I've already worn Brigitte and it's the most gorgeous, rose toned nude. Let me know if you'd like to see all three lipsticks in more detail.

I'm most definitely the queen of impulse purchases, and I was lured in by the "Becca Backlight Priming Filters" promise of glowy skin. I mean who doesn't want to look like a golden goddess? I've only used it once so far, so I haven't really formed much of an opinion as of yet, but I'll definitely get back to you if it really makes my skin glow!

I know I've been #feelingspendy over the last few weeks, but I just blame my upcoming birthday celebrations. I'm having a hard time accepting that I'm nearly (ahem 28), some people turn to booze, I turn to shopping. So I can't guarantee there won't be another haul coming soon.

What have you picked up recently? Anything I should pop on my Space NK wishlist?

XOXO Claire
